Texas Had a Few Surprises

As if Texas conference didn’t already have enough going on, the hotel came with a few… special guests.

I’m not naming names, but let’s just say a couple former NBA names were definitely in the building. One may or may not be known for making things dance on the court, and the other definitely knows a thing or two about getting buckets.

I won’t name names, mostly because I had to be told who they were… and then reminded a couple of times anyway 😅.

Between the conference, the networking, catching up with old friends, and now a few familiar basketball faces casually staying at the same hotel… Texas was really giving us a little bit of everything.

It was definitely a first for me — well, kind of. They honestly could have shaken my hand, told me their names, and it probably would have completely flown over my head.

But for everyone else there with even a little bit of basketball knowledge, I’m sure there were a few double takes like, “Wait… is that who I think it is?”

Safe to say, this trip had a few unexpected moments mixed in with all the learning, networking, and celebrating.
